Question of the Week

In honor of the Olympia Comics Festival:

If Olympia was a comic book, who'd be the superHERO?

Ok, sorry. If you wanted to vote for Oly's supervillian, I changed the poll. It just had too much potential to get ruthless and personal. Anyway, this blog is supposed to be about what we need. And what this town needs are more heroes...

I think Onyx from an aesthetic perspective could really pull of a very fun comic book look.

But also I think Pat Tassoni (Olympia Tenant's Union)has secret powers that he uses to fight evil. Notice how he's always there at moments of crisis? How he walks in the shadowy parts of the street? How seemingly knows everything that goes on in Olympia? How he pisses off all the right people? Hmmm....

A Bar Card is not the same as superpowers. But not everyone knows that.

Also, no true superhero would have a website named after himself.

Funny thing about pedestals, Rob (if in fact that is YOUR real name), is that everyone wants to be there. Well, except for those who sabotage their own potential because they fear being visible, or famous, or accountable to their community, or whatever. So, to respond directly to your comment: NO. It is far from lonely up here. Join us, the fabulous, the brilliant, the spicy. We want you.
